Please note: We do not sell parts.

In years past what it took to tune most spring guns was seal replacement and a quality spring with proper fitting guides.   It is often the case now that most guns coming in are rifles that need to have additional work before any such tune can take place.  Very often this is the case even on a new gun. The tolerances on a some of the rifles coming in can be so bad that many of the major parts of the gun have to be remachined to get the gun to perform to the standards of what is described on my tune page.

This page is a guideline of pricing for tunes.  Any additional work done to the gun will be optional to the owner at that point.  Often the tune will perform well enough that you would be happy as is.  The areas that usually suffer when parts are out of spec. are the degree of recoil, the velocity that is possible and how long the parts will last.  Out of spec receivers/compression tubes, poor quality or condition seals and oversize barrel bores are the main culprits.

There is no set turn around time on ADV tunes. It could be 4 weeks or two months or more.  This kind of work shouldn't be rushed.  If it is rushed I'll have to decline. Sorry, but that's how it has to be.  Any estimate given on the phone is a best guess and not a contract.  The more options you ad will increase turn around time as well.  Guns with know issues take longer and are often put on a back burner until I can spend the undivided time needed to find and correct the issues with that rifle.

Some parts that need to be ordered from the manufacture, will  be priced when the gun is here and repairs are started.  Some parts on obsolete guns and guns no longer being produced will need to be sourced by the customer.  This doesn't apply to springs, seals and guides on most guns.  Only on parts like cocking levers and trigger parts that aren't easily fabricated.  Call to be sure about your model if you suspect this will be the case.

All tunes use New Maccari springs. You won't get your old parts reinstalled.
Cocking slots are milled and compression tubes are honed on a Sunnen Hone.

A special note about my tunes

My #1 goal when tuning a gun is to have a pleasant shooting gun that will stay that way for a long time.  If your primary goal is to have a gun that will shoot peak velocity right after the tune there are several tuners that will do this for you.  I could do the same but the end result is a gun that will shoot harshly and develop spring noise after 1500-2000rnds.

Don't see it listed?  Feel free to inquire if your make or model can be tuned.

** NOTE: Turn around time depends on current work load.  I'll inform you if my work load is high when you call.  If your interested only in turn around time, it would be best if you did not send your gun to me.  I prefer to have things right when a rifle ships.  Rushing things out the door is bad for both you and me.  I have set hours in the day that I work and often it's not enough to get some things out with a best guess estimate.   Some of the guns being sent in take longer to do than others and it's not until I begin on them that I will know.

Requesting something to be done that's not a listed on this page can often be done but GREATLY increases the amount of time it will take for me to get to it and be able to return it to you.

Tune prices include shipping.
Oversized packages or packages over 25lbs will be extra.

NOTE:  All items such as shrouds, triggers and safety buttons are hand made here at SpringGunning.  Sizes and shapes vary from one to another.  If you measure each item and it's not exactly the length as listed or you buy multiple items and they don't appear "exactly" the same that's proof that all items are made by hand and are true "one offs".  I only mention this as some have mentioned some of the shrouds being slightly shorter or longer than listed or safety buttons varying in length on the extended versions by about .030.  If any of this is going to be a concern of yours mention it before ordering and I'll see what I can do.

Many Thanks,

SpringGunning
