In years past what it took to tune most spring guns was seal replacement and a quality spring with proper fitting guides. Ah, the good old days.  It is often the case now that most guns coming across my door step are guns that need to be repaired before any such tune can take place.  Often, even on a new gun. The tolerances on a few new guns can be so bad that many of the major parts of the gun have to be replaced or machined from scratch to get the gun to perform to the standards of what is described on my tune page.

So I decided to put this page up as a guideline of pricing for tunes.  Any additional work done to the gun will be optional to the owner at that point.  Often the tune will perform well enough that you would be happy as is.  The areas that usually suffer when parts are out of spec. are the degree of recoil, the velocity that is possible and how long the parts will last.  Out of spec receivers/compression tubes, poor quality seals and oversize barrel bores, are a few problems that are becoming all too common.

Basic kit install:  I no longer offer a basic tune. You can buy a kit from James Maccari and I will install it as a alternative. You can order the kit and have it sent to me or just send it with your rifle.  Turn around time aprox. 2-3 weeks.  The price for this is $85 shipped unless your package is oversized or over 25lbs.  Most boxes over twelve inches wide or over fifty one inches long are oversized.

If you want a full ADV tune the prices are listed bellow.  I supply all parts in house for ADV tunes.

The advanced tune can include other options such as fabrication of new parts or remachining of existing parts for higher performance.  $200-$600 depending on what I have to work with and what options you want. No set turn around time. could be 4 weeks or two months or more.  This kind of work can't be rushed.  If it is rushed I'll decline. No if ands or buts.

Some parts that need to be ordered from the manufacture, will  be priced when the gun is here and repairs are started.  Some parts on obsolete guns and guns no longer being produced will need to be sourced by the customer.  This doesn't apply to springs, seals and guides on most guns.  Only on parts like cocking levers and trigger parts that aren't easily fabricated.  Call to be sure about your model if you suspect this will be the case.

FWB150/300 Tune:  Maccari spring, deburr and clean, new bumper for piston and new breech seal.  $165

FWB124 ADV:  Maccari spring, delrin spacers, buttoned piston, Maccari seal additional polishing to trigger.  $230

Beeman R7/HW30 and Newer HW50S ADV: Maccari spring, Ny/Del guides, ADV seal, buttoned piston, and cocking arm slider. Trigger polished and adjusted.  $265

R9/R10/R1 ADV:  Maccari spring, Ny/Del guides, milled and deburred cocking slot, mill and hone cocking shoe, buttoned piston, ADV seal and trigger polished and adjusted. $265

TX200/ProSport ADV:  Volcanix spring with fitted guides, trigger disassembled polished and adjusted, buttoned compression tube (TX). New delrin piston support bearings. Cocking lever bushings (ProSport).  $255 (TX) $280 (ProSport)

Air Arms ProElite ADV:  High volume seal (not available separately), Maccari spring, delrin bearings for piston, Ny/Del guides, barrel securement improved and trigger disassembled and polished.  $265

HW97/HW77 ADV: Volcanix spring with Ny/Del guides, ADV piston seal, buttoned compression tube, trigger polished and adjusted.  $280

HW55 and older HW50S ADV:  Maccari spring and Ny/Del guides,  buttoned piston, ADV seal (adapter if needed), trigger polished and adjusted, new for end bracket nut and cocking arm slider. $265  Older guns with broken or bent parts will be higher!!!

RWS 48/52 ADV: Maccari spring and Nylatron guides, Maccari seal, trigger polished and buttoned compression tube. $235

RWS 34/36/38 ADV:  Same as 48/52 above.

** NOTE: Turn around time depends on current work load.  I'll inform you if my work load is high when you call.  If your interested only in turn around time, it would be best if you did not send your gun to me.  I prefer to have things right when a rifle ships.  Rushing things out the door is bad for both you and me.  I have set hours in the day that I work and often it's not enough to get some things out with a best guess estimate.   Some of the guns being sent in take longer to do than others and it's not until I begin on them that I will know.  If I have to work overtime on a rush job it will be priced accordingly.

* Sight in, or check the accuracy of your gun while here for tune work.  Open sites $30.  Scopes $45

* Recesses machined into the breech of barrel cocking gun and delrin inserts installed. $50

* Cut crown and re-choke 16mm and 15mm barrels $40.  Other sizes POR.

* HW SetBack trigger rework.  SetBack brass trigger blade with steel pull weight screw, Brass safety button and internal contact points in trigger polished to mirror finish. The final result is a trigger that is smooth as glass, has a smooth positive safety and the trigger is fully adjustable for length of first stage and sear engagement "without removing the stock or trigger guard.   $90 when done in conjunction with ADV tune.  $125 stand alone without tune.

16mm ID is available in thirteen inches long  .850-.870 OD.  It can be installed with a spacer to fit 15mm barrels for $10 extra.

*Installed for $60 or cut, crown and choked and installed for $100. 

Note:  I do not sell baffles with shrouds or muzzle brakes.  My shrouds are as described above and not sold as moderators, silencers, lead dust collectors or anything else intended to reduce the report of a airgun or firearm.  Please don't ask me to supply them to you.  Thanks.

NOTE:  All items such as shrouds, triggers and safety buttons are hand made here at SpringGunning.  Sizes and shapes vary from one to another.  If you measure each item and it's not exactly the length as listed or you buy multiple items and they don't appear "exactly" the same that's proof that all items are made by hand and are true "one offs".  I only mention this as some have mentioned some of the shrouds being slightly shorter or longer than listed or safety buttons varying in length on the extended versions by about .030.  If any of this is going to be a concern of yours mention it before ordering and I'll see what I can do.
